It's very important to follow this guide, to avoid purchases a waist trainer that is either too big or too small.

Measure Waist
  1. Measure around the narrowest part of your waist with a tape measure.
    • This is usually just above the belly button (navel, umbilicus) for most people.
    • Do NOT over tighten the tape measure. It should be snug, but not press into the skin or make indentations.
  2. Find your size in the “Current Waist Size” on the Size Chart. You may see your size in 2 different levels.
  3. If you are between sizes:
    1. Experienced: pick the smaller size.
    2. First timers: pick the larger size.

Measure Height

Some like the trainer to sit real low or come all the way to the chest, other like a little more room. It is really up to your preference.

Method 1) easy, height based

Method 2) easy, torso length based

Method 3) hard, comfort based. Our Recommendation for best fit is a little complicated but works well.

Instructions for Using your Figuur8

Putting it on

  1. Center the waist trainer by making sure the middle bone in the back, is lined up with your spine in the center.
  2. Wrap the trainer around your waist, while keeping it centered.
  3. Start from the bottom of the waist trainer. pull it up a little bit, near the narrow part of your waist.
  4. Buckle about 5 buckles first.
  5. Work your way up, as your buckle more. Slowly pull the trainer down as you go, until you get to the top.
  6. The sides of the waist trainer are designed to fit over your hips, about 1.5-2 inches (3-5cm) below the top of your hip. 

Breaking it in

Your Figuur8 Waist Trainer WILL fit snug/tight at first if you got the correct size. This is intended because it will stretch a little bit after the first couple uses.

Your Waist Trainer has a measurement that is smaller than your actual waist. Once your put on the waist trainer it will stretch a little bit, and your final waist will be in between the 2 sizes.
